What is the Distance Of all the Races?

IT City Fun Run : 5 km.
Full Marathon : 42.195 km.
Half Marathon : 21.09 km.
Corporate Relay Race : 40 km. (Each of the 8 Participants runs 5 km.)
Womens Relay Race : 40 km. (Each of the 8 Participants runs 5 km.)
10 K Run : 10 km.
Community Relay : 2.5 km. (Each of the 5 participants runs 500 m.)

When is the Bengaluru International Midnight Marathon (BIMM2011) ?

The Race day is on 10th December 2011.The IT City Fun Run, Full Marathon, Half Marathon, Corporate Relay, Community Relay and 10K are the various events. The races start off with the IT City Fun Run on 10th December at around 8 PM, after which all the other events will follow. The Community Relay Race kicks off at 7pm. The BIMM2011 will end at 6 AM on the 11th of December.

When is the Power Mile?

The Power Mile is on the 13th of November, 2011. It's by invitation only.

What are the start times and location?

All races will start from KTPO, Whitefield. Please see route map and description for details.

Start times:

IT City Fun Run : 8 pm
10 K Run : 10 pm
Community Relay : 7 pm
Full & Half Marathon : 12 midnight
Corporate and Women Relays : 12.30 am (11 December 2011)

Where do we report on the day of the race (10th December 2011)?

Location for reporting is KTPO, Whitefield.

What timing device will be used?

Timing chip will be provided to every participant who opts for it, for the 10k Run, Full and Half Marathon, as also the Corporate and Womens Relay. Those who do not opt for the timing chip, will not be entitled for prize money or timing. They will receive their Certificate without any timing. No timing chip will be given with On the spot registrations on Race Day. The chip will only be provided to those who have booked online or at City Malls, before 10pm on 9th December 2011. Please return the Timing chips at the end of the race in the designated bins. No timing chip or timing is applicable for the IT City Fun Run.

Do I have to pay additional to my registration fees for timing?

Yes. Starting, 21st Nov, The registration fee for the 10k Run, Full and half Marathon is Rs. 500/- if you do not opt for the timing chip. It is Rs. 1,000/- per individual if you do opt for the timing chip. Please return the Timing chips at the end of the race in the designated bins.

When will I get my race results?

Race results will be couriered to you. Please provide accurate address in the form. A certificate with your timing (if chip is used) will be sent.

Will I get a Certificate?

Yes, all participants of the Marathon, Half Marathon, IT City Fun Run, Corporate Relays, 10K and Community Relay will receive certificates.

If I do not use the timing chip, what certificate will I get?

You will get a participation certificate, without timing.

What is the minimum age to participate in the Race events?

IT City Fun Run : At least 12 years on 10th of December 2011.
Full Marathon : At least 18 years on 10th of December 2011.
Half Marathon : At least 18 years on 10th of December 2011.
Corporate Relays : At least 18 years on 10th of December 2011.
Community Relay : At least 8 years on 10th of December 2011.
10K Run : At least 14 years on 10th of December 2011.

What are the registration fees for the Race day events?

IT City Fun Run : Registration fee is Rs 300.
Full Marathon : Registration fee is Rs 500 without timing chip. Rs. 1,000 with timing chip.
Half Marathon : Registration fee is Rs 500 without timing chip. Rs. 1,000 with timing chip.

When do registrations close?

Online and City Malls, bulk Corporate bookings registrations close on December 9, 2011 at 10pm. Thereafter, there will be ‘On the spot’ registrations at Race venue, upto 2 hours before the race start time. However, no chips will be issued for ‘on the spot’ registrations.

How and when do I get my chest number?

Chest numbers will be issued at KTPO from the 9th of December from 10:30 am to 6pm. They will also be available till one hour before your race starts.

Online Registration:

Participants registering online get a form emailed to them or can print online itself. There are some personal details that need to be manually filled out on this. When you come to collect your chest number you need to bring a filled and signed copy of the same along with a photo id of the participant.

What are the charities affiliated with BIMM2011?

Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor is the primary charity that is affiliated to this event. Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor uses the funds collected at the Marathon for its various charitable initiatives such as supporting spine surgeries, eye surgeries, brain and heart surgeries, polio vaccinations, education, mid-day meals for government school children and more.

Where is the baggage hold?

The baggage hold will be near the start point of all the races at the holding area.

Where can I park?

Space for parking is available at KTPO and also in and around the Venue.

Will bikes, cars be allowed on the course?

Traffic will not be allowed on the track. The lanes will be closed and will be used only for athletes.

Will medical facilities be available at the venue in case of an emergency?

Yes, medical facilities will be available at the venue and along the race route. There will be 6 ambulances at the venue and race route to deal with medical emergencies. There will also be a 20 bed clinic at the venue with about 15 doctors on call throught.

Will all locations across the course have enough security?

Yes. All locations across the course will be manned by police personnel, private security services and hundreds of volunteers.

Are Pets allowed on the course?

Pets will not be allowed on the track during events.

Is there a time limit for the Full & Half Marathon?

The Track will be free of traffic till 6AM, which will give all Marathon and Half Marathon participants 6 hours to complete. The runners are free to run after that at their own risk. The event will be shut at 7AM.

Where will the bathrooms be located?

Portable toilets will be located at the staging area and along the course as well.

Will food and water be available at the venue?

Water will be provided free of cost to all runners at the BIMM. Food can be purchased from the food stalls that will be setup at the venue.

How do I register for the BIMM2011?

You could either register online at www.midnightmarathon.in or at the registration point at Mantri Square Shopping Mall, Malleswaram

Is online registration secure?

The online registration is protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All information supplied will be transmitted via SSL which encrypts and protects your personal information over the internet.

What will the registration charge show up as on my bank statement?

The merchant name that will appear on your bank statement is Radiant Infosystems.

Can someone else pick up my chest number?

We strongly suggest you pick up your chest number yourself. However someone can pick up the chest number on your behalf if they carry the counterfoil/ ticket issued by Ticket Counter along with an authorization from your side and an original photo ID card of yours.

Will there be enough lighting on the course?

Lighting arrangements have been made. In case of a power failure generators have been setup.

What kind of clothes do I need to wear for the run?

There is no specific requirement as such. We suggest track pants / shorts and a t-shirt as they are more comfortable for running.

Are there any other events scheduled for the race day?

Apart from the races, the BIMM2011 will have live performances by musicians, fire-eaters, dancers and bands to entertain the participants.

Who can participate in the Corporate Relay?

8 people from any Corporate/company can register for the Corporate Relay.

How many teams from each Organization can participate in the Corporate Relay?

Upto a maximum of 4 teams only.

Who can participate in the Community relay?

Any gated Community can forward a team. Participants over the age of 8 can participate in it. There will be 2 categories. One for ages 8-12 years and one for 12 years and above.
